12.11.09 U13 Indoor Champions

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Matthew Todd-Bennett, Josh Clogg, Connor Hetherton, Tom Brookfield, Will Hume, Sam Marlow, Daniel Lewis, Keir McInery and Rhys Harlin were all part of the indoor title winning U13 team who saw off Cardiff, Newport, Lisvane, Pentyrch, and Newport amongst others on their march to the title. Here are the lads with their medals and the first Dinas Junior silverware for a long time! Well done!

09.11.09 Annual General Meeting

We had a successful AGM tonight. More details and information in the minutes

 

05.11.09  Double Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two major bits of news this week. Firstly, breaking news, is that the U13 inddor league side have just won their final match making it 7 wins out of 7 and are crowned Champions. Congratulations to each and every one of the squad and perhaps some recompense for just missing out in the League Final back in September. CHAMPIONS!

 

Second bit of news is that Club skipper Gordon Hannah has finally done the decent thing, and proposed to Elyn over rockets and sparklers on Wednesday. Congratulations to both of them.

 

30.10.09 Senior Indoor Nets

The indoor nets have now been booked. They commence on 25th February running for 10 weeks. Time 7.30pm - 8:30pm at the SWALEC Stadium Indoor Cricket School. We’ll remind you about this nearer the time.

22.10.09 Dickensian Fayre

Dinas Powys’s annual Dickensian Fayre organised by the Rotary Club is taking place on Friday 4th December. As usual we will be running a bottle and candy floss stall. Please can we ask everyone attending the AGM to bring a bottle  for the stall. If you can’t make the AGM, please try and get a bottle to one of the committee members.

 

We’ll also need some help on the night. The more the merrier!

 

16.10.09 U13 Indoor Dominance Continues

The U13’s continued their outstanding indoor season sterday with a resounding win over Cowbridge. Chasing  a target of 45, the eased home with both Matthew Todd Bennett and Sam Marlow scoring 20’s. That makes it 6 out of 6 for the lads who sit proudly at the top of the table with one match left on 5th November. Up the Dinas!

We’re especially keen to get people helping out with teas, scoring, umpiring and maintenance of the common playing area and pavilion. We can’t pay you, but it’s great fun to be involved in a big part of sport in the community!
