28.06.09 Double loss weekend
It was another tough weekend for the league teams, with injury, illness and other unavailability seriously depleting both squads, but it did give some opportunities for several juniors. The 1st XI succumbed to bottom of the table Christchurch, whilst the 2nd’s lost out at home to Abertillery.
22.06.09 Free beer and food?
We’ve receive some info regarding filming for Bwrw'r Bar with an offer to be part of the audience, with free food and beer in the company of Jonathan Davies, Rowland Phillips and Nigel Owens! The show will be recorded on the 7th July, to be aired on the 9th July, after the Lions tour, and before the Ashes series. See poster for more details. 18.06.09 Reversal of fortunes
After last weekend’s league double it was down to earth with a bump as both sides lost their latest fixtures. A 1st XI missing 4 of it’s main batting and bowling attack through injury and unavailability went down to a good Pencoed side at home, whilst the inevitable knock on in selection, and further unavailability affected the 2nd XI who missed out by only 3 runs away at Upper Rhondda.
16.06.09 U13 win again
The U13 continued their impressive season with a 5 wicket win on the common tonight.
Set 96 to win by Whitchurch Heath after a below par performance in the field, but

14.06.09 Super Saturday and End of Season Dinner
It was a red letter day as both 1st XI and 2nd XI recorded wins and we played our
first 3rd XI game. The 1’s comfortably saw of St Fagans III’s by 7 wickets with I
Southwell carrying his bat for 74* and Dani Zaman taking 4-
And on the common a 3rds side including 3 juniors just lost out to the “Furry Chequebooks” by 2 wickets.
